Sida cordifolia, also called Indian mallow, is a perennial plant and a member of the genus Sida, a subset of the mallow family (Malvaceae). Widely cultivated in the West Indies, due to her medicinal properties; today it is also grown in the tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Brazil.

Sida cordifolia contains a cocktail of active ingredients including ephedrine, pseudoephedrine,
β-phenethylamine and phytosterol.

Medicinally, is used as an anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, as well as a decongestant and an asthmatic bronchitis cure in Brazil. In Africa, Sida is used for coughs, general lung diseases, malaria and syphilis, as well as to heal wounds.

Traditional dosage:
Light dose: 40 seeds, approximately 0.2g
Medium dose: roughly 60 -70 seeds, weighing 0.3-0.4g

The mallow is easy to grow from seeds and likes a moist, warm environment.
