Canavalia maritima (20g)

In South America and the Gulf Coast of Mexico dried leaves of Bay Bean were considered sacred and designed around the graves of the Mazatec and other tribes.

The dried leaves were used in ancient rituals as entheogens. In ancient Peru the fruit and the leaves had a magical use.

On the Gulf Coast of Mexico, these leaves were taken with other sacred herbs such as Calea and Tagetes.

Bay Bean is a vine that grows out of the ground and climbs higher using small trees. It has elliptical leaves with small purple flowers.

The Bay Bean or Sea Bean, as it is also known, is a light hallucinogen (active ingredient: L-Betonicine) and used for holy incense.

Traditional Use: Vaporize (150-180C) / Tea (1-3 Teaspoons)
