Leonotis leonurus (3g)
This South African shrub is called wild hemp in its native South Africa. Two different peoples from the region, the Khoikhoi and the Bushmen, use the leaves and flowers as medicine and a ritual narcotic.
Wild Dagga is one of the most effective legal herbal alternatives to tobacco and cannabis. The main active alkaloid is leonurine. The effect is euphoric, funny and exhilarating, and at higher doses Wild Dagga can even act as a light hallucinogen.
The “lion's tail” is used medically to treat rheumatism and gout, as well as to help ease menstrual cramps.
One must be careful using Wild Dagga, for some people it can prove to be equally as addictive as tobacco.
It is advisable to chop or grind the Wild dagga flowers, to allow their pleasant effects to blossom fully.
