Premium leaves (100g)
Known in China as xiancao or “herb of the immortals”, Jioagulan is a powerful adaptogen that can sooth tired nerves whilst strengthening the immune system against stress. Ancient Chinese writings first mention it around 1400AD and it is one of the main plants used in traditional Chinese medicine. The region of Guizhou, where the herb is drunk daily as a tea, has a abnormally large population of people over 100years old.
Jiaogulan has been shown to increase stamina and endurance as well as reducing recovery time after exercise. Ideal for whenever you need to preserve your nerves - before competitions, tests or important appointments.
It also supports the cardiovascular system by countering many risk factors simultaneously. It can help to lower LDL cholesterol levels, improve fat metabolism and counter fat sedimentation in blood vessels. It can also increase heart contraction strength and stroke volume, leading to an increase in cardiac output without raising blood pressure.
Jioagulan contains an unusually high concentration of Gypenosiden, roughly four times that found in ginseng. Moreover, it contains many essential amino acids.
Traditional use: tea ( 1-2 teaspoons ) let it sit for 10mins.
