Catha edulis - Khat

The chewing of Khat, Catha Edulis, is a tradition that dates back thousands of years in both Africa and the Arabian peninsular. In these regions, its use predates coffee, and holds the same place, as a morning pick-me-up or a social experience, within the native societies.
