Banisteriopsis caapi - Trueno (50g)

Banisteriopsis caapi (Trueno) is one of the two main ingredients in the traditional medical and visionary brew Ayahuasca, from the Amazon region. It contains a very high concentration of natural reversible MAO-inhibitors and has a strong laxative effect.

Some indigenous peoples distinguish between 40 different variations. Two very common types are Ourinhos and Trueno. Trueno means 'thunder', the name comes from the intense physical effects it produces :)

Warning:
As B. caapi contains MAO-inhibiting substances, it can be very dangerous in combination with certain medications, including but not limited to antidepressants, certain psychotropic drugs and foods that are usually harmless.
